It's been a hard winter. And one of our prized koi, Kalvin, didn't make it. Gerry found poor Kalvin, along with another smaller, unnamed fish, very dead in the pond today. Kalvin was over 10 years old and one of our first koi. Cause of death was of natural causes--or he just froze to death- its been pretty cold you know. We gave Kalvin a proper send off in a Costco garbage bag and burial arrangements will taken care of by Econo Haul. I'm sure he is now swimming happy and free in the big pond in the sky, R.I.P. Kalvin.
