My New Life...

When Dallas died I stopped blogging.

He was the focus of so many blog posts that I just didn't have it in me to add to this online diary of my life. OK, that sounds like I was some kind of seriously depressed, but I wasn't. I just needed to stop for a while and regroup. Add-in, I was doing all the (paper) work necessary to have myself and my husband retire at the same time and you get the idea of why I needed a break.

I'm back now.

We retired June 1. I gave myself that first month to just chill. To let the new lifestyle settle in. But I wasn't totally unproductive. I spent a lot of time reorganizing my home office, and my computer, I bought some new Apple products (a new Apple watch, iPad, and phone-my retirement gifts to myself.) And I spent time getting my studio back in shape. 

I'm riding. After 15 years of riding the same horse riding Doc is like learning to ride all over again. It's the difference between riding a Ferrari and riding a tractor. But it's still good and a learning experience. But Doc will always be Gerry's boy.

So, here I go. My new life has commenced.
