My contribution this year was throwing out some sunflower seeds and seeing what would happen. These seeds were freebies so there was no knowing how old they were- but by god, they grew and grew and grew. I think the birds think we planted them on purpose next to the bird house so they would have a deck to sit out on. Anyway, the birds and us have been enjoying these huge sunny flowers enormously.
