Good Stuff

Last Saturday Gerry and I visited artist friends of ours who were holding an open studio. It's been over a year since we've seen them and it was wonderful to get caught up. After seeing them I came away so inspired- everything about their lifestyle from their delightful, fanciful home, to their marvelous artwork makes me want to lock myself up in my studio and create.

To celebrate our upcoming wedding anniversary Gerry and I purchased a stone litho print of a Caribou, it's hanging in our dinning room, and I smile ever time I look at it. That's what good art does I believe, it invokes an emotion. Our new caribou art makes me think of childhood  summers spent in Estes Park and Wyoming, and then the excitement of sharing my love of the west with Gerry.

Our friends also sell the. best. ever. vintage. art. supplies. And I came away with old ribbons and a funky dress form that I hope to use is displaying my new pendant line of jewelry.

It was a very good day.
