I started making memory boxes in the mid-90's. Each one commemorates a special occasion or trip that I've taken. While I'm away I collect all manner of ephemera - brochures, postcards, ticket stubs, stickers, matchbooks, tourist trinkets and assorted other gee-gaws and then merge them with my own photographs. I always try to use a box that reflects the theme. For a trip to Colorado and Wyoming I purposely used a box with a triangular shape to subjest a mountain. Because these reminders of good times are always on display in my house (rather than in a photo album) my travels and experiences continue to give me a great deal of pleasure long after I've arrived home.
