The Zombie Apocalypse and the Pennsylvania Horse Expo

The Zombie Apocalypse and the Pennsylvania Horse Expo
really do have something in common, honest!

We spent the weekend at the Expo and got to see Blade, a mustang owned and trained by Tommy Turvey. Blade is also the horse that gets attacked and eaten by zombies in the first season of the TV show, "The Walking Dead." (A really good show by the way.)

Tommy Turvey is an amazing trainer, his horses always seem happy performing and look wonderful. While the stunts he does with them seem almost other worldly, the one trick I'd like to emulate is Dallas coming to me when I call............. yes, I have low expectations.

The other horses in his show include three Tobiano Paints, just like my own beloved Dallas.

So first up our photo from the Expo, followed by stills from the show that I grabbed off Google.

Blade at the 2012 Horse Expo with Tommy Turvey. He's built alot like Dallas (Blade, not Tommy.)

Rearing is a perfectly accebtable equine behavior when facing down a horde of ravenous zombies.

Must be French Zombies.  Yum, horsemeat.

Run Forrest, Run!

She's sleeping with both of them...in a Zombie Apocalypse, a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do.

  1. Laughed out loud at your comment about the French zombies. Thanks for that! Glad to hear you had a great time.
