Frugal Friday

I love original artwork. We collected some nice pieces from contemporary artists over the years, but not enough to fill all our bare walls. As an interesting and economical way to decorate I've made it a habit to buy interesting fruit and crate labels. Some info on crate labels in case you aren't familiar with them.

Most were produced via stone litho so the ink hadn't faded over the years. I don't think I've spent more than $18  for them, and many were much less. Paired with an inexpensive frame and you've got a frugal, but beautiful piece of artwork.

Here are two of my favorties:
