I can not tell a lie...

I spent most of today in bed, with the dogs. Whatever is ailing me was in full force this morning- the doc thinks it is strep- but it feels like a bad case of flu but with none of the err- how do I say this nicely?- Ah, with none of the trips to the bathroom- I just ache all over and my throat is so sore. It's 4:30 p.m. and I'm finally starting to feel bit more normal.

But I wasn't feeling so punk (as my friend B.B. always says) that I was going to waste all that time and I enjoyed a terrific book by Rita Mae Brown called " Riding Shotgun." I believe this book predates her "Sister Jane" series, and it was interesting to see the groundwork for those books show up in this one. An excellent if you-need-to-get-your-mind-off-how-crappy-you-feel-read.
