A major goal for this first year of retirement is to downsize our belongings-we have just too much. So I'm selling on Craigslist. If it doesn't sell, then I see if there is someone to whom I can give it away to, and if that fails, then I see if I can't repurpose the item somehow. If none of that works then it goes to the dump.
So I had a nice, but dated brass lamp. No buyers, no takers. But I found inspo on Pinterest! And created this garden plant stand. Spent no $$$ on it whatsoever- just used an old, crusty pail I found in our shed, sprayed painted it gold (which I already had on hand) and Gerry mounted it all up. The only cost was for the plant. And I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out!
