Cellulitus

 Last week I went out to ride Dallas and when I pulled him out of his stall.

OH MY GOD

His left hind from hock down to fetlock looked like someone had poured honey on him and it had almost dried- still tacky to the touch.

And the leg was swollen and very hot to the touch.

Hello, Cellulitis.

Obviously, I got the vet out there and she put him on a course of antibiotics, steroids, and Banamine for pain. Plus, a mixture of Furazone, Neosporin, and Desitin to rub on his leg every day.

A week later it looks so much better and only a bit of heat to it.

Very scary.
