My two favorites flowers are Bird of Paradise and Hydrangeas. We had the best man at our wedding over for dinner and he brought me these gorgeous hydrangeas. He is a master gardener and oversees the gardens at Mt. Cuba-the late Mrs. Copeland's estate. Over the years he has given us some wonderful trees including my pride and joy- our Meta Sequoia (Dawn Redwood) which is now over 70 feet tall.
