Baking

I had a small dinner party last Sunday for Labor Day weekend and I decided instead of putting any effort into appetizers I'd do some fancy desserts. The top cake is an Italian rum cake. It was OK, but I decided I don't really like rum all that much unless it is on ice with Coke.

The second cake I liked- a lot. It's a chocolate cake with chocolate chips and a crazy frosting made with 3 cups (!!!!!) of melted chocolate chips, heavy cream, sour cream, and butter. Lord, the fat grams in it must be through the roof. What was leftover is now frozen to keep us form devouring it the rest of the week.
