OK not really. Since are down a pair of binoculars we've set our spotting scope up permanently. In the last couple of years (likely coinciding with the pond and garden maturing) we've had influx of birds, including a nice red tailed hawk that comes by regularly to wipe out the mourning dove population, we enjoy watching all this drama and the spotting scope lets us get up close and personal.
