We tried to be back "home" by 4 o'clock each day as our hotel served homemade guacamole, slasa, chips, and fresh baked cookies at that time each day. That went very well with the bottles of wine we picked up at a local vineyard! After gorging ourselves, we'd then take a brief siesta and headed out for dinner each night around 7-- just in time to catch the live music on the plaza. Did I mention we had a wonderful time?

More on New Mexico
We used Santa Fe as our home base for five days and did day trips: Los Alamos, Bandelier National Monument and Taos Pueblo.
