Saturday morning we were up early to go to Fair Hill and meet up with the Mid-Atlantic Mule Riders group. I was washing dishes and looked out the window to see this:
I yelled for Gerry, and we raced to the laundry room to get a better look.
A red tailed hawk in our very own, very suburban backyard.

We can't figure out why this hawk let Gerry get so close, he looked in great condition, I guess maybe he was hoping Gerry was out there to remove the grates over the Koi pond : )
He was a very handsome bird!
