My Norwegian ancestors have a saying, there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes. So last week, Gerry and I set out in search of good clothes with which to combat this cold, snowy winter. With horses we spend alot of time outside on the weekends and our ski parkas just weren't cutting it. Enter the Outback Trading Company. At the last Horse Expo in Harrisburg last year we bought a raincoat and a hat from them; we heard they had an outlet store so we took a nice drive up to Oxford to check it out. We ended up with his and hers oilskin barn jackets, oilskin chaps, a riding vest, and a new baseball cap. If you aren't familiar with oilskin, let me just say it's wind and water proof but breathes better than Goretex. (And costs alot less as well.) We rode in it the next day and couldn't have been more pleased. Good stuff!
