Long, hot, summer and not much blogging

I've hardly blogged at all this summer. Between Gerry and Bella surgery's and the heat, I've neither had much time, nor felt much like it. Longer daytime hours also mean I get to spend lots more time at the barn- and of course, I'd much prefer doing that to sitting inside my home.

I'm ready to welcome in fall, and one way I'll celebrate cooler days is by cooking up some yummy stuff on my brand new cast iron griddle. I made some blueberry pancakes this week and it passed its trial run with flying colors.
