That was the first line of a song that my mom and I would sing on the many dark, moon-lit nights that found us on the road picking up my sister Susan from her ballet lessons. We were on the road pretty steadily until Susan went away to college when I was 12. To pass the time we'd sing or my Mom would let me drive the car---well she let me steer and work the acelerator. I loved those big old Ford Mercury's and we still drive Ford's in this family.
Last night, we were treated to the brightest moon of 2010, so I ran out (and it was freaking freezing folks) and shot this photo with my Iphone.
