Gerry, myself and two other barn friends had pooled our resources to hire our favorite cowboy trainer L.K. to come to the barn tonight and give us a trail clinic. Was not to be, rain, rain and more rain. Anyway, here is the little trail course I came up with , maybe we will get to put it to try it out next weekend.
I can't beleive the ring of fire was taken out of the course, my horse and I had trained hard for that one.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, you are referring to what would have been obstacle number 7 “The Ring of Fire,” I’ve read on the Internet that horses really don’t mind flames and shooting embers. We tested it tonight with the dog and a hula hoop wrapped in gas sodden rags and it worked great! (and Bella’s fur only got singed a little bit.) However, on our second try the hoop kind of melted, so I had to take that element out of the course.
