My dear husband keeps asking me when I'm going to let people know about this blog..... and I explain to him that I wanted to be sure I could make a commitment to writing nearly every day- so I've sorta been in practice mode with it. But, I've been at it for about a month now, and I love writing it, so its time to invite folks to drop by. Please read and comment, I'd love to hear from you.
Today's photo is of my boy Dallas. Earlier this year I did a mixed media art work featuring Dallas and just a short time ago I got word that pictures of it will be published in the November issue of a national art magazine called Somerset Studio. With finishing up my master degree I haven't been spending nearly enough time in the studio, so it was really nice that this piece was accepted for publication.
Dear husband and I have switched off horses again and for the time being I'm back on Dallas and dear husband is riding Beau. I've been wanting to try jumping again and we think Dallas will be better suited to that than Beau. We did a short trail ride last night- and what a pleasure to ride the trails on a week night. But I'll have to get used to Dallas' hard trot, I've been spoiled by Beau's lovely, soft jog. Dear husband looked blissful on Beau, and as he put it so elegantly, "its nice not feeling like someones taking a 2 by 4 to my balls when I ride."
